Hibiscus Gallery is pleased to host LANDSCAPES and everyday things for its first major art exhibition which features the work of Akiwali Walters; whose images of childhood innocence, have achieved iconic status. LANDSCAPES’  consists of twenty–one acrylic on canvass paintings.  Bountifully lush forest greens, sunset oranges and reds, deep blues and indigos of the night interspersed with light are all captured on canvass. These paintings, the impressions of which were first made in his childhood, were refreshed in 2017; when following a family tragedy he returned to Jamaica. The work completed, in early 2018 evokes deeper vibes, which in his words are “the shadows of Aki’s mystical journey. All items exhibited here are available for sale.
