Very much a legacy of the Windrush Generation, the Blues Dance was a safe place for the emerging Caribbean community in the UK to engage and enjoy its culture. The Blues was the space for networking, meeting a future partner, a space for recreation, entertainment, and to express oneself through dance. The Blues Dance created the demand that gave rise to the reggae industry in the UK. DJ Sir Riley and his Base Line International Sound was in at the ground floor blazing sounds and vibes across East London. Having retired for the last five years, he is now back refreshed and ready for the second half.
